When the human returned with a cup, it became clear that the armchair had changed owners. Right in the middle of the cushion sat the most important creature in the house, although only a minute earlier a pet bed, a blanket and half the sofa had been perfectly sufficient. Any attempt to restore the previous order met with such a long look that the chair next to it suddenly seemed entirely acceptable.

A light, soft sweater was ideal for taking over territory. The stretchy openwork knit did not restrict movement, the high black collar could be folded down if desired, and the row of curls along the back added just the right degree of authority. The matte blue, deep yellow and black did not look modest even in a dim room — which was entirely reasonable.

There are no fastenings: the soft stretchy knit makes it easy to slip the sweater over the head and reach the armchair before the human does. After that, everything is settled. There will be no negotiations.
