It is not cold today, there is no show planned, and the neighbour’s dog is not hosting a reception. Still, the deep blue-green sweater is going along for the day. Soft, medium-weight, with plush yellow edging around the hem. Sometimes a pet does not need a reason to dress up. Sometimes the colour simply suits him.

First he checks the kitchen, although breakfast ended not long ago. Then he stops by a closed door, listens for a moment, and walks away without waiting for anyone to open it. In the hallway, he sits exactly where everyone needs to pass, and a few minutes later heads to the window to inspect the street he has already seen a thousand times. He approaches pointless activities with a seriousness unavailable to most bipeds.

At the window, he stretches out to full length, and the openwork knit becomes easy to see. A soft plush yellow trim runs around the edge, especially bright against the deep blue-green background. Then some sound comes from outside, the hero turns sharply, and once again the photo is ruined.

By the end of this important inspection, there will be twelve new pictures on your phone. In half of them he has turned away, in three he is blurred, and in one only the yellow edge of the sweater remains. You are not deleting any of them, of course. The hero himself is already asleep while you choose the main photo. This will take longer than all his important business did.
